Wait Until Dark is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Written by Frederick Knott and adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher, this classic play centers on Susan Hendrix, a blind woman who becomes the target of a group of ruthless criminals searching for a mysterious doll filled with contraband. As the tension mounts and the stakes grow higher, Susan must use her wits and courage to outmaneuver her dangerous adversaries in a heart-pounding battle of wits. With its masterful blend of intrigue, danger, and unexpected twists, Wait Until Dark delivers a thrilling theatrical experience that will leave you breathless.
Run time is approximately 2 hours, including a 15 minute intermission

Stefan Fisher (he/him) This is Stefan’s first time acting with Hillbarn. Bay Area theatre productions include: Shatranj Ke Khiladi (Outram) and The Sixth Pillar (Knox) with Naatak, Swift Justice (Chief Black) with Tabard, Square Root of a Sonnet (Eddington) with Bay Area Drama Company, Kingdom of Cards (King) and The Parting (Radcliffe) with EnActe, and Stupid Fucking Bird (Sorn) with City Lights. For twenty-one years, Stefan acted with California Theatre Center in over 100 productions.
Sarah (she/her) is thrilled to be performing in her first role with Hillbarn Theatre. Regional credits include appearances with SFBATCO (Barbie Chang – I Too, Sing, America), Throckmorton (Lauren, Kinky Boots), Altarena Playhouse (Aimee, The Night Alive), and Custom Made (Julie – Tinderella, for which she won a Theatre Bay Area Award). Ms. Jiang has toured internationally with the award-winning a capella ensemble, Stanford Talisman, and has performed for Bill and Melinda French Gates, jazz legend Hugh Masekela. She was a member of the Stanford Asian American Theatre Project.
Mia (she/her) has performed with Borel Drama Dream Theater in Goosebumps the Musical (Cami), Pitch In (Quinn), and Jinx the Musical (Ensemble.) She has participated in many summer camp shows including Descendants the Musical (Mal) with Hillbarn Theater, Peter Pan the Musical (Peter Pan) with Pied Piper Players, Cinderella the Musical (Ensemble) with OFC Creations, and You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown the Musical (Lucy) with Hillel Theater. Mia is currently a student at Borel Middle School in 8th grade and in her free time she enjoys playing volleyball, improvising on her saxophone, and spending time with her friends and family.
Sahil (he/him) is a student at Diablo Valley College. He will be completing the Musical Theatre and Acting Associates program there in the Spring of 2025. He has appeared in many productions at DVC, notably as Guildenstern in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. He has also worked with Town Hall Theatre as The Man and has appeared in shows at other Regional Theatre’s such as Oberon at Inferno Theatre and Felix at The Campbell Theatre in Martinez. Sahil is very excited to work with Hillbarn and can’t wait to share this experience and his work with audiences!
Ryan (he/him) makes his Hillbarn Theatre debut. He most recently appeared with Word for Word in their production of Who’s-Dead McCarthy, as well as Citizen and Retablos. He has also worked with Marin Theatre Company (Oslo, Straight White Men), the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival (Macbeth, Henry V), Aurora Theatre Company (The Eccentricities of a Nightingale), Shotgun Players (Mary Stuart, The Great Divide), and the Livermore Shakespeare Festival (Cyrano de Bergerac, Much Ado About Nothing), among others.
Brigitte (she/hers) is a native Bay Area actress and theatre maker. When Brigitte is not on the stage she is taking your calls managing the Hillbarn Box office. Brigitte Is very excited to be back performing on the Hillbarn stage with such an incredible wealth of bay area talent. Some past roles include Ensemble/swing in Kinky Boots (ROLT), Kelly Manning in The Mad Ones & Heather Chandler in Heathers (PSP), Ali in Mamma Mia (San Jose Stage Co), Poppy in Noises Off (Hillbarn Theatre), Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods (LASC).
