Plan Ahead

Be sure to have your mask on, Proof of Vaccination, and Photo ID out of your wallet and ready to display, before you exit your car. In addition, take a moment to have your e-tickets or printed tickets readily available for a smooth box office experience. Your tickets are not required for entry into the main building, only your Proof of Vaccination and Photo ID is required.

Enter Through the Courtyard

We are asking that all patrons enter the building through the courtyard at the back of the building. The front doors will not be open in order to help visitors get through our vaccination checkpoints.

The doors to our venue will open at 7:00 p.m. Patrons who arrive before that will be invited to wait outside in the courtyard where we will conduct a pre-check of your I.D. and proof of vaccination.

Proof of Vaccination Check Station

Proof of Vaccination (POV) check stations will be found at the courtyard entrance outside of the Theatre and separate from the scanning of your ticket. Outdoor check stations will open beginning at 7:00 pm. A sticker will be provided following the POV check, allowing you to proceed to the box office, will-call table, and theatre. Please do not remove this sticker as you may be asked to leave the building.
All members of the audience 5 years old and up MUST provide Proof of Vaccination. If you do not have proof of vaccination you will not be admitted into the building.

Acceptable methods of Proof of Vaccination

All proof of vaccinations will require that you display a valid photo ID. We highly recommend one of the following digital methods:

  • A personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by the State of California, or similar documentation issued by another state, local, or foreign governmental jurisdiction
  • An authentic digital record that includes a QR code scannable by a SMART Health Card reader that accurately displays patron name, date of birth, vaccine dates, and vaccine type. More information and download

Other acceptable forms of POV:

  • Vaccination Card issued by the CDC or a foreign governmental jurisdiction that includes the name of the person vaccinated, the type of vaccine provided, and the date(s) the dose or doses were administered.
  • A photo or copy of a Vaccination Card either as a hard copy or stored as a photo on a phone or electronic device.
  • Documentation of vaccination from a healthcare provider.

 

Mask Requirements

All patrons must wear a full-coverage face mask at all times while in the building. If you do not have one Hillbarn will provide you with one that has been granted by the City of Foster City and FEMA. Masks with valves, gaiters, or scarves will not be permitted.

Food and Drink

Intermission water service and post-concert receptions are currently on hold. You are welcome to bring your own water in a closed container to consume outside in the courtyard of the theatre before the event, during the intermission if applicable, or after the show. No food or drink will be permitted in the building at any time.

Ventilation, Seating & Capacity

Hillbarn is large and airy, but it is nevertheless an intimate space. We have just upgraded our entire HVAC system to meet the recommended airflow and filtration systems per the CDC.

Personnel

All of our staff, volunteers, and artists are fully vaccinated and will be masked. The artists on stage for the Mainstage will be unmasked during the performance but are required to be fully vaccinated and tested weekly before each performance block.

Program Books

Programs/Playbills will be available digitally only. Please scan the QR code in the lobby, it will bring you to the program!

Compliance

By attending this performance, patrons are responsible for compliance with the above protocols and safety provisions. Thank you for your cooperation!

Exchange Policy

If you are sick, not feeling well or have been experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with someone known to be or suspected to have been infected with COVID-19 within the last 10 days, or are subject to a quarantine or isolation order, please stay home and do not attend the performance. We are happy to exchange your tickets or issue a full refund if you contact us at boxoffice@hillbarntheatre.org or 650-349-6411 x2 as soon as possible.
