Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory are anything but peaceful as sparks fly between the new superintendent, Sid Sorokin and Babe Williams, leader of the union grievance committee. Their stormy relationship comes to a head when the workers strike for a 7 ½ cent pay increase, setting off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well.

Your liability release agreement and medical history form must be completed and returned to Hillbarn Theatre BEFORE your child will be allowed to participate in camp. We’ve provided an easy way to complete your registration. Use our convenient online form or download the forms and turn them in the first day of camp.

The Conservatory at Hillbarn is the closest thing you’ll find in the Foster City area to a full-immersion Performing Arts Conservatory – without having to leave home. The Conservatory is a year-round performing arts conservatory with four main programs: Mainstage musicals at Hillbarn, Classes at Hillbarn, Outreach Enrichment classes and camps, and Outreach Productions.
Our primary focus is to create a place where young people of all levels of talent and experience can build and hone their performance skills while developing self-esteem, teamwork skills, and friendships that will last a lifetime. Our classes are for youth ages 4 to 18 and students will have the opportunity to work with our staff of trained theatre professionals.
Our Mission: To inspire young audiences with imaginative productions, introduce children of all backgrounds and abilities to the excitement of live theatre, and create an engaging, encouraging, and educational environment in which children and their families can explore and enjoy the theatre arts.
Each year we produce 3 children’s musical productions on the Hillbarn Theatre main stage. Our performances feature youth performers. We hire designers and directors who bring vibrant, creative worlds to life and who understand how to make theatre accessible for audiences young and old.
Throughout the year, we offer drama, voice and dance classes and camps for children ages 4 to 18. Our classes focus on ensemble performance, teamwork, and confident communication.
We provide after-school enrichment classes to elementary schools in Foster City, San Mateo and Hillsborough. We produce full-scale musicals in outreach to elementary, middle and high schools who otherwise would not do a school musical due to lack of internal performing arts curriculum. All of our Teaching Artists are professionals, trained as both artists and educators.

REFUND POLICY – PLEASE READ
Something come up? It happens to all of us.
To cancel a Conservatory class you must do so in person at the Box Office or via email (a time and date stamped email from you to us). Unfortunately, you may not cancel by phone. These policies are non-negotiable.
Conservatory Cancellation Policy:
We do not offer refunds on Fall/Winter/Spring Classes. If your child is unable to participate, we can offer class credit, but no refunds are available.
SummerStage Cancellation Policy:
If your child(ren) is unable to participate in SummerStage after they have been enrolled, we are able to offer refunds in the following manner:
- Before April 15, 2018– Full refund less $50 (processing fee/hold spot fee)
- After April 15, 2018 – 50% refund
- 3 weeks prior to enrolled camp start date – No refunds.
- Cancellation after the first week of a program has passed and you cancel, no tuition is refunded under any circumstance.
We know that sometimes things come up that are emergencies that can’t be controlled, so we reserve the right to waive the formality of the cancellation policy depending on circumstances.
Please understand we structure our programs and hire teachers according to early enrollment. Last minute cancellations cost the company time and money and often deprive another child of the opportunity to participate in a conservatory class or camp that was assumed to be filled. Once a camp has begun, fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
