“I fell in love with theatre in the summer of 2010 when I started attending the Conservatory at Hillbarn. Aside from forming many lifelong relationships, I learned so much about performing on-stage. That experience shaped who I am today and made me want to continue my career in theatre at Hillbarn. Almost two years ago, I applied to intern at the theatre and I got the job. I have deepened my knowledge in theatre not just onstage but also on the tech and business side.” said Garland. “I brought the idea for a Youth Conservatory cabaret to Executive Artistic Director, Dan Demers, and he supported it right off the bat. The goal of this event is to raise money to support scholarships for the conservatory so that anyone can attend regardless of their financial situation. I want everyone to be able to experience the life-changing power of theatre!”
