SummerStage 2012

TripleThreat Summer 2012 Musical:

As forbidden love blossoms between a Nubian princess and an Egyptian soldier, the young lovers are forced to face death or part from one another forever.  Together, they set a shining example of true devotion that transcends the cultural differences between their warring nations.

Written by Elton John, lyrics by Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton, Robert Falls, and David Henry Hwang.

Aida was nominated for five Tony Awards and won four Tony Awards in 2000, including Best Musical Score and Best Performance by a Leading Actress. Aida was also named by Time Magazine in 2000 as one of the top ten theatre productions of the year.

SuperStars Summer 2012 Musical:

... this "kid-power" musical follows Edwina Spoonapple and her troupe of performers as they present their "advice-a-palooza festival" and learn along the way that taking your own advice may be the best advice of all!

Written by Zina Goldrich (music) and Marcy Heisler (book and lyrics).

The Off-Broadway production of Dear Edwina received two 2009 Drama Desk Award nominations, for Outstanding Music (Zina Goldrich) and Outstanding Lyrics (Marcy Heisler).

Musical Theatre Intensive

Start your summer with an "espresso shot" of musical theatre skills-building with industry professionals.  Students will partake of classes in acting, voice and dance4, as well as discussion and seminars on the realities of pursuing theatre in high school and beyond.

Session: June 18 - 22

Days/Time:  Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm

Cost: $500 week/$125 single day

Video Production Workshop

Wrap up your summer in our 1st ever week-long seminar on video production.  Students will learn the basics of shooting and editing video, and will perform on-camera in our own music video to celebrate Summer 2012!

Session: August 6 - 10

Days/Time:  Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:00pm

Cost: $375
