Synopsis of Scenes

The action of the play takes place in the course of twenty-four hours at the Seth Lord’s house in the country near Philadelphia

The time is late June, 1939

ACT ONE:  The sitting room. Late morning, Friday.

ACT TWO:  

          Scene I:  The porch. Late evening, Friday.

          Scene II: The porch.  Early morning, Saturday.

ACT THREE: The sitting room. Late morning, Saturday.            

There will be two fifteen minute intermissions

The play itself runs approximately 2 and ½ hours.
