2007 – Silicon Valley Small Theatre Awards given to My Way – A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra for both Standout Musical Productions and Standout Technical Design.
2006 – By increasing over the previous season by 8%, attendance to the MainStage productions set a new record.
2006 – A Feasibility Study Report, prepared by Shaw Snow & Associates, for a Capital Campaign Project, funded by a matching grant from the Peninsula Community Foundation in response to a donor’s challenge gift, was completed in January.
2005 - Hillbarn Rocks! a successful Rock & Blues Camp pilot program for Conservatory’s Summer Stage was initiated.
2005 - Cat on a Hot Tin Roof won three Dean Goodman Artistic Awards: direction, scenic design and principal performance.
2005 - Executive Director, Lee Foster, graduated from the Arts Leadership for the Future (ALF) graduate program and the local Leadership program. She also received The Diamond Award from San Mateo County’s arts partners (ARTshare).
2003 - Peninsula Community Foundation funds Strategic Plan. Interviewing over 300 people, an intensive long-range planning process resulted in an in-depth understanding of who our programs serve and why they are needed. The data, processed into a Strategic Plan, identified six (6) major priorities.
2003 - City of Foster City funds Theatre Manager Box Office Ticketing / Donor Management Program. Foster City bestows Executive Director with the Foster City Honors Award.
2003 - Season subscriptions increased by 100%.
2003 - Hillbarn was awarded first California Arts Council grant. Grant renewed for the 2004-2005 fiscal year.
2002 - Hillbarn’s Executive Director was selected for “Arts Leadership for the Future” a program designed cooperatively between The Management Center, Bill Moskin & Associates, and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
2002 - Dracula won three Dean Goodman Artistic Awards: direction, lighting and set design.
2002 - City of Foster City funded state of the art sound and assisted listening devise systems.
2001 - Audience attendance increased by 38%.
2001 - Hillbarn was a finalist for a Mission Possible Award from the Management Center Awards for Excellence.
2001 - Hillbarn completed a six month $90,000 capital campaign for a new roof and replacement of some heating units funded by an event, individual, corporate and foundation (i.e., The David & Lucile Packard Foundation) donors.
1999 - Shirley Valentine chosen as “Best of Year” by Peninsula Independent Newspapers.
1998 - Shirley Valentine accepted as an entry at the Edinburgh Theatre Festival.
1995 - Recipient of the Bay Area Theatre Critics Award for the Musical Review Cycles, The Music of Cy Coleman.
